Technical Education
Technology education is the study of technology, in which students "learn about the processes and knowledge related to technology". As a field of study, it covers the human's ability to shape and change the physical world to meet needs, by manipulating materials and tools with techniques. It addresses the disconnect between wide usage and the lack of knowledge about technical components of technologies used and how to fix them.
Hope Highlands Tech. Ed offers the following classes:
Grade 6: Introduction to Technology - The Google suite, Google Drive, email protocol and knowledge of a computer system are all the areas of focused content.
Grade 7: Design and Engineering - CAD (Computer Aided Design), TinkerCad, home design and 3D Printing are the areas of focus.
Grade 8: Coding and Robotics - Understanding Coding language like Java, Blockly and Python are covered extensively and Lego Robot programming
